Lisa grew up in the quaint town of Ardmore, Oklahoma.  She attended Plainview Schools from kindergarten through 12th grade, excluding 6 months of her junior year which she spent studying in South Australia.

After high school, Lisa attended the University of Notre Dame.  She majored in studio art and design, with a focus on graphic design.  During the summers, she pursued a variety of activities including working as a counselor at OLOG summer camp and studying in London.

Lisa graduated in August 2007 and relocated to Austin, TX, to pursue a career in design.  Since that time, she has worked in several exciting jobs, and is currently a Manager of Data Acquisitions at MyEdu.com.  She also continues to pursue her interest in art, particularly in the mediums of oil painting and photography.  She plans in the future to attend grad school for her masters in art education.

Bill was born in Tulsa, OK.  At the age of 7 his family relocated to Fishkill, New York.  They relocated again when Bill was 10, to a suburb of Denver, Colorado.  Finally, at the age of 15, Bill's family settled down outside of Houston, Texas.

After high school, Bill returned to his roots, pursuing a degree in computer science at the University of Tulsa.  He graduated in just three and half years, and returned to the Houston area where he worked several jobs to save up money for grad school.

In Fall of 2007, Bill went to the University of Delaware where he earned his masters in economics.  In June 2009, when he finished all of the on-campus requirements for his degree, Bill moved to Austin, TX, where he is currently working for MyEdu.com.

In October 2003, during her freshman year fall break, Lisa went to the University of Tulsa to visit her best friend Katie.  Katie was a freshman at TU, and happened to have formed a friendship with Bill, who was in his sophomore year there.  Lisa, Katie, and several other people where watching the delightful movie "Pumpkin" in Katie's RA's room, when Bill walked in - there was instant chemistry.

The two remained good friends throughout the next several years, staying in constant communication via instant messaging and phone calls.  They also made sure to hang out anytime Lisa could make it to Tulsa.  By the time Lisa finished school and moved to Austin, though, Bill had already moved to Delaware, but the two continued to stay in contact.

Finally, following his first year of grad school, Bill was at his parent's house for the summer, making Lisa and Bill only 2-3 hours away from each other!  After two months of constant visits and flirting, Bill finally made his move, kissing Lisa while watching "The Dark Knight" with her.  Within a couple of weeks, the two had decided it was worth trying to make a relationship work despite the geographic issues.

The two dated long-distance through Bill's second year of grad school, visiting each other several times over the year.  At the end of the year, Lisa got Bill a job with her current employer, and they finally managed to live in the same place :).

On December 10, 2009, Lisa and Bill were celebrating their 16th monthiversary.  Bill had the day off of work, and Lisa took off early, so that the couple could go to look at christmas lights.  They went to 38th Street, a popular christmas light destination in Austin, and walked up and down the highly decorated block.  In front of the most beautifully decorated house, Bill got down on one knee and uncharacteristically-romantically proposed!
